Ocho-Eight-Eahta-OCTO!!!

Happy EIGHT MONTH BIRTHDAY Sweet Baby Jett!!

Today we celebrate eight joyous months of fun with our sweet little Turbo! I never knew that you could love a little snot-nosed BOY so much!! Every single day is an adventure!! I would not change it for anything!! Here are some highlights of our wittle monster!

*Jett is still obsessed with his window. He and Tag fight over position even though it is QUITE big enough for both of them!

*Jett's got a MILLION new facial expressions!! He also loves to play "mimic" with his TyTy!! :) She'll make faces at him, then he will make them back.

*We're learning some songs with actions. Itsy Bitsy Spider (the tickling version) is Jett's favorite, Patty Cake follows close at second, and This Little Piggy is at a very distant third!!

*Jett is crawling at a SUPERSONIC speed!! He still keeps one leg propped at a weird angle, but this allows him to propel himself to a seated position VERY quickly! He has started climbing up the step in the living room that I use as a "babysitter." Sad day for Mommy. This means he now has access to the kitchen and the plants and the dog bowl.

*As much as he is the master of all things crawling, my sweet boy is so close to walking it's SCARY!! He pushes his "car" around the living room like a PRO! He also stands for very long periods of time. I'd like to say he pre-walked the other day, but only because he was VERY upset with me. So mad that he took about three "stumbles" forward. I'd be premature to call it walking, but a very proud me would say that he took his first steps.

*Him is still toofless. He's fine with it, so I must follow suit. His time will come. :)

*Jett weighs in at about 19lbs!! BIG BOY! We don't go for a check up until next month, so this extremely accurate number comes from the scientific method of me standing on the scale with the bambino, then without. Extremely accurate.

*He wears a plethora of sizes in clothing! The other day he had on a 0-3 month short set, but today he wore a 9mo onesie! Such a goober!

*Jett's eyes are a mysterious green-grey-blue-brown. Yes, it'd be easy to call them hazel. I refuse to limit him with this label. They change daily, and it's still too early to give them a definite adjective. They are amazingly pretty. I'm biased, but I don't care.

*He is still the happiest baby ever (he has the most infectious giggle), BUT he has learned the pouty lip cry. It breaks my heart to see, but it can also be so dang cute that you can't help but chuckle. Not in a mean way, but in an "Awww, him's so cute!" way.

*Jett is super excited about his new jogging stroller!! It comes in Friday, so he can hardly wait for a jolting-good time!! (Ok, this was Mommy centered!)
